I viewed and printed a few recipes. Now anytime I try to open a new tab I get a recipe tab. I can open 15 tabs and they will all be a recipe tab. I can't figure out how to get rid of these unwanted tabs.

Chosen solution

As a footnote to the above in case you are not familiar:

You can view, disable, and often remove unwanted or unknown extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a (Mac: Command+Shift+a)
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
  • type or paste about:addons in the address bar and press Enter/Return

In the left column of the Add-ons page, click Extensions. Then cast a critical eye over the list on the right side. Any extensions that Firefox installs on its own are hidden from this page, so everything listed here is your choice (and your responsibility) to manage. Anything suspicious? If in doubt, disable.

Often a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox before the change takes effect. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.

Any improvement?

Sounds like an extension that is not compatible with Firefox 54. Look over your installed extensions and disable the likely culprit.

Hi ladyfsgf, unfortunately, as a security measure, that address is randomized so I can't look it up. Could you check your extensions using the steps in this reply: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1171092#answer-995712

I finally figured it out but don't remember how I did it as it was awhile ago.
