I want to open my Home Page when I open a New Tab. This does not seem possible from the options menus I have searched on forums and found some information, but the about.config kisting does not show browser.newtab.url as suggested. Please could you advise how to do this?

From what I've been reading this configuration was dropped as of Firefox version 41. There are alternatives in doing this, which is done by add-ons.

Here's one add-on you can install and start using to load your homepage on new tabs.

Zachary, Great. Thanks for your help with this. I've installed the Add-On and works OK

I really do not understand why important features are dropped on new versions of applications

Anyway, thanks again for the info All good now
