Reply on Mozilla Blog
So, I found and interesting article at blog.mozilla.org, and I want to ask a question.
https://blog.mozilla.org/addons/2016/04/11/the-why-of-electrolysis/
I can see, that other people have replied to the post, but there is no reply button, and no way to register an account.
How were those people able to reply ?

I think the open period for comments expires fairly quickly:
Still Open: Oct. 4th - https://blog.mozilla.org/addons/2016/10/04/october-2016-featured-add-ons/#comments
Too Late: Sept 29th - https://blog.mozilla.org/addons/2016/09/29/webextensions-in-firefox-51/#comments
Maybe it's only 30 days?
Thanks.
This is a very bad design.
On most forums, when a post is too old, it's marked as "archived", and it says something like "This is an archived post. You won't be able to vote or comment."
Not having an indication, such as "archived", makes it very confusing.

Hi !
You could post your ideas and suggestions here:

Who knows:   things might change because of you ......
Each publishing form has its own conventions. I think it's normal for blogs to close off commenting after a while. I only allow comments on my blog posts for about six months, and that's probably unnecessarily generous. There is a way to comment on the home page indefinitely in the unlikely event that someone really needs to tell me something.

Not really confusing. If the blog post has a reply box then that mean comments are still allowed, if no reply box then comments are not allowed or were closed. A lot of times the blog postings on https://blog.mozilla.org/ does not have comments enabled to begin with.

Yes it is confusing, because my first impression was, that only certain select people are allowed to reply, not just anybody.
How was I supposed to know, that replies were previously allowed for anybody, and then disabled ?

Well, this is even more confusing.
