YouTube videos getting stuck at 0:00
Hello there. I seem to have an issue with YouTube videos right now. This problem went away itself for a while and then came back. I am experiencing an issue on Firefox and have been since Thursday. YouTube videos will often get stuck at 0:00. I have tried Private Browsing mode and that did absolutely nothing. I have tried everything to no avail. Opera works fine, just not Firefox. Please help.

When you say stuck, do you see this:
- The video is buffering
- A pause button is displayed
- Nothing plays
- If you click the pause button to turn it back into a play button, then click the play button, then it plays
That pattern can be caused by a hidden setting. You can switch it here:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste autop and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click the media.autoplay.enabled preference to switch it from false back to its default setting of true
Success?
If you never changed that setting yourself, possibly one of your add-ons did it??

Youtube currently uses the HTML5 player. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/fix-common-audio-and-video-issues?redirectlocale=en-US&redirectslug=Video+or+audio+does+not+play https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/fix-common-audio-and-video-issues
I just want to report this issue and have this fixed. I just want help. This is not helpful.

Hello jscher, I see buffering, pause button and nothing plays, I hit the pause button it takes 15 seconds to load. This is really frustrating. I don't think your steps would help.
Hmm, 15 seconds sounds like the typical length of a pre-roll advertisement. Is it possible that an ad blocker is causing that gap?? That would probably be intermittent as there are lots of videos that do not have pre-roll ads.
Hello jscher, this did not help at all. The AdBlocker is the issue. This is happening on Mozilla Firefox only, not on Opera or Google Chrome. I think you should escalate this to Mozilla, Google and the Adblock team.
EDIT: I have made a very important topic: https://adblockplus.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=48021 This is only happening on Firefox.
