After I down load Firefox (which I have done several times) The tool bar will load with multiple tabs that I did not prompt to get, I believe these are flash players, Flash, You tube etc or something, then I am unable to view videos on Facebook. I prefer Firefox as my default browser but I am getting totally frustrated by continually refreshing Firefox to fix this. I am using the same Firefox 47 on another computer and everything is fine,

Hi, note: Only download from mozilla.org

Are you referring to the bookmarks bar? If so, you can right click > Delete them.

If you are referring to Tabs, note that Firefox is able to open multiple home pages with the URLs separated by a 'pipe' (|), so please see - How to set the home page, and in 'Home Page,' make sure that in addition to your home page URL (the Firefox start page is about:home but you may have set a different one, or the New Tab page, which is about:newtab) there isn't anything else - if there is, just delete it.

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you!

I have the correct home page and about home set on both computers. It looks like this may be a problem with my computer and not Firefox. Chrome runs beautiful on this one I am having issues with.

After all the various tabs load that I did not want My mouse flickers and jumps all over the place. I know this probably sounds crazy. I have run 3 virus scans and cleaned up my cookies history registry etc.

You can check for problems with the sessionstore.js file in the profile folder that stores session data. When sessionstore.js is deleted you lose pinned tabs and Tab Groups and open tabs and you will have to recreate them, so if necessary make a note or bookmark them.

You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:

You can check for problems with preferences.

Delete possible user.js and numbered prefs-##.js files and rename/remove the prefs.js file to reset all prefs to the default value including prefs set via user.js and prefs that are no longer supported in current Firefox releases.
