I had my FF latest (46.0.1) frozen at close time. So after about 10 min I killed it. Upon opening it, all my tabs were gone. So I went and backed up my session-backups folder, and followed the know steps to manually recover the tabs, as explained for example here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1113851 or https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1089246 etc. I even tried to delete the sessionCheckpoints.json, to no avail. I tried to recover this way using both previous.js and recovery.js What in the world does one need to do in this new version to get the tabs back? Note that I've done this in the pas successfully, although it was a few months back when I last did it.

Thanks.

I used one of the online json viewers (namely http://www.jsoneditoronline.org/ ) and noticed that my tabs were all in the _closedWindows section. So I quickly went into menu at History -> Recently Closed Windows and there they were, my main window with all the tabs. So I clicked that, closed the current main window to make that newly loaded one the only window, and that was it. Pretty stupid if you ask me.
