Are you able to reproduce the issue with a fresh profile? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles

more options

Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) to see if that has effect.

Note that you can also use the keyboard and press "Ctrl+Shift+Page Up" and "Ctrl+Shift+Page Down" to move the current tab left or right.

Ok the age old thing of boot to safe mode is very over rated. On certain M/B's F8 does not pull up that screen and if you must boot you use msconfig then restart to safe mode. Win10 is not a nice experience for me in safe mode as everything is over sampled/under sampled ...way to big and can not get mouse to things/key board to things like I just managed to bring up file explorer then find FF to start it. Anyways nothing, notta difference. Note that the keyboard short cuts worked in both normal boot and safe mode but does nothing to help me with bookmarks.

Ok and first poster (as per my post) no need to do a fresh profile as this is a new install of FF after a refresh did nothing. (new install = pull all left overs and registry entries out before doing install)

Interesting thought here anyone else run Seamonkey and did it have ability to drag tabs, drag bookmarks, drag urls ?

If it did it does not have that ability now.!

You can check for issues caused by plugins.

  • set plugins to "Ask to Activate" on the about:addons page (3-bar button/Tools > Add-ons > Plugins)
  • plugins are not affected by Firefox Safe Mode

The System Delete list next to the question shows multiple Shockwave for Director plugins.

You can find the installation path of all plugins on the about:plugins page.

oh............here is a interesting way in Win10 if can not use F8 key to restart into Safe Mode. Hold the shift key down while clicking restart and will bring up a series of menus to click through that may help or to get to safe-mode. Very nice find if say so myself :=}

And again nothing works after turning things off in safe made. No drag and drop to be found.

Ya thanks. I do have all plugins set to ask to activate and this AM installed a new Shockwave (why I bother I do not know) and found had a duplicate and uninstalled that. Still wondering if it was those MS Updates. Anybody got a answer to the Seamonkey question as would be nice to know if it had drag & drop before (is my backup browser) the MS Updates. And if so would be my answer to the problems.

Interesting when I click Options , Plugins then click see if plugins are up to date it shows an anomaly for Shockwave saying vulnerable 3.0.72.0 when am running Shockwave 20+ and when I click the upgrade button it just produces more of the same window I clicked in.... The learn more link takes me to a Adobe page for 2012, http://www.adobe.com/support/security/bulletins/apsb12-23.html Is weird.... PLUS the page that shows my info is still showing 2 Shockwave when have uninstalled 1.

Ok....rebooted with Shift Restart, menus to Start with Networking. Uninstalled FF, Drilled into users and deleted, deleted from Program Files/86 Used Norton Utilities (ex-beta tester and Norton user since Dos) & deleted registry entries. D/loaded new FF Installer and "installed while in safe mode" as previous install not in safe mode did the same thing.. LOL No Start Menu added (not been added for years now) when ticked, Unticked desktop icon, no issue; Not added to Task Bar. So added it. Still no drag/drop for Tabs, Bookmarks or Url's

Any other thoughts before the ultimate use of MediaCreationTool start this beast over again...not a issue if have to but as now getting longer to put self back to way was; I would like a solution that worked or do I wait for next MS Spring/Summer Version issue to see if that works (think not as I use drag/drop daily)....????

Do not confuse the two Shockwave plugins Shockwave Flash and Shockwave for Director. Both are different plugins.
