Shockwave Flashplayer on the Plug-in shows incompatible, though I have the latest version installed
Hi, I got an error from Firefox saying that I am using an outdated version of Flash Player Plug-in, so I installed the latest version. But the error continues to show up. What is funny is that he version I installed is 18.0.0.203, but the Add-on page continues to show 18.0.0.194.
It is very irritating that whenever I run anything that uses Flash this message pops up. Does anyone know what the real problem is and how it can be resolved?
Thanks, Ram
PS: I am attaching a screen shot with the Flash Player version details and the one shown in Add-On Manager.

This is a know issue with the update checker. If the programs web site says you are up to date, then you are fine.

Update your Flash Player Version 18.0.0.203

Note: Windows users must download the “Internet Explorer”
and “Plugin-based browsers” installers.
See if there are updates for your graphics drivers https://support.mozilla.org/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration
Hi Fred, Thanks for the response. I updated the NVidia driver and the problem got resolved.
But the error message is a bit crazy when it says that the Flash driver is not updated and shows the wrong version detail!!

Did you install Flash Player update while Firefox was completely closed/exited.
