I want the Activity Indicator back.
I want the Activity Indicator back. I have avoided upgradeing Firefox for a year because I want it. Stop taking our preferred features away.
NO, it's not as good to have it on each tab. I want to look in ONE PLACE every time. It's much better for consistency sake.

The new in-content about:preferences page has replaced the previously used standalone Options/Preferences window.
You can toggle browser.preferences.inContent to false on the about:config page via a double-click to restore the standalone Options/Preferences window that you had in previous Firefox versions.
You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.
Note that the CTR extension has a check box for this under "Advanced > Preferences in tab."

You can look at the Classic Theme Restorer extension to customize the appearance in Firefox 29 and later and make it look like older Firefox versions.
- Classic Theme Restorer: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/classicthemerestorer/
- You can check out the settings of the CTR extension via its Options/Preferences button on the "Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" page.
- You can find extra toolbar buttons and more toolbar settings in Customize (3-bar Firefox menu button > Customize)
You can find the setting to enable the Activity indicator under General UI (2) This will add the button to the Customize palette.
How about NOT taking away features we like. It should NOT require an add-on to provide useful features that already existed. Ade-ons should be for features that don't exist.
While I'm at it, give me back my OK and Cancel buttons when making changes to options. This STUPID STUPID STUPID approach is showing up every where and it really frustrates me. What if I make a change and then want to cancel it? What if I accidentally change something then want to put it back the way it was.
What lame brain trust started foisting this on us and thinks it's a good idea? I first saw it with Google Chrome and HATED it.
