I can log in no problem to Outlook web app, but as soon as I read an email or scan through them the programs shuts down and returns the login page. Sometimes this is within seconds and other times I may get a few minutes, its very random. I updated Firefox to the latest version and checked all my plugins etc. I need this for work or I would just use something else. Thanks

This issue can be caused by corrupted cookies or cookies that are blocked.

  • check the permissions on the about:permissions page and in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Thanks for your help. Tried all of above but still getting shutdowns and return to login page. There seemed to be a mild improvement, not a lot though, in the length of time before shutouts occur.
