I have bought a new pc with Windows 11 home pre-installed and set Mozilla Firefox latest version as default browser ...the issue i am having is placing add-on extension shortcut icons on toolbar. I installed Norton Safe Web and this installed ok and is listed in extension control panel and when i click puzzle icon Norton Safe Web is not shown under manage shortcuts nor can i see option to Pin to Toolbar. Have tried several attempts but still get nowhere.I uninstalled Mozilla Firefox...restarted pc ... did a fresh install of Mozilla Firefox without altering any settings..re-installed Norton Safe Web and still cannot see option to Pin to Toolbar.Clicking the gear icon does not help Have i missed a step somewhere ?

When I click a link to https://drive-image.com, Firefox gives me the security error:

Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead Firefox detected a potential security threat and did not continue to drive-image.com. Firefox does not trust this site because it uses a certificate that is not valid for drive-image.com. The certificate is only valid for the following names: secure.r-tt.com, www.drive-image.com, www.r-studio.com, www.r-tt.com, www.r-undelete.com, www.r-wipe.com

Error code: SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN

But here's what makes it so bizarre: Clicking the link gives the error, but if I type that URL into the address bar, it works perfectly fine. I can even right-click the link > Open Link in New Tab (or Window) and it works fine. I originally found this because I searched "r drive image" in DuckDuckGo and that link was the first result. But it also happens in a very simple test HTML page I wrote, which just contains a link to that page.

When drive-image.com is loaded, it immediately redirects, so that the page actually shown is https://www.drive-image.com/.

Some more info:

• This is on my laptop (Windows 10 Home 64-bit), in Firefox (up to date, 113.0.2 (64-bit)).
• It also happens in latest Mullvad Browser, which is based on Firefox codebase.
• Also happens on my other computer, running Windows 10 Home 64-bit, in Firefox and Mullvad Browser.
• I created a new profile and it still happens using that.
• I turned off uBlock and Ghostery extensions, it still happens.
• I added an exception in Firefox Settings: Enhanced Tracking Protection for drive-image.com and it still happens.
• It does not happen in Chrome or Edge.
• It happens with my VPN connected or disconnected, on both computers, which use different VPN servers when connected.

I've gotten the infrequent security error clicking what looks like a legitimate link before and shrugged it off, going elsewhere. But this time knowing the site was legit, I messaged their support and eventually ended up at this point after much investigating, and suspect something serious is amiss.

Images of the error are attached, along with an image of my test page's text if that matters (since I can't attach a text file).

Does anyone else get this error by clicking a link to that site? Is this a Firefox bug/issue, an actual problem with their website/certificate?

Outlook via Firefox shows titles, no content. Sometime I can read the content of the first email I select, but, no content appears in subsequent emails, just the titles. Outlook is OK via the Firefox safe mode, via Chrome, via MS Edge and via MAIL.

I have cleared cookies and cache.  I have also tried About:config>extensions.webcompat.enable_shims changed to FALSE.  

A sidebar with web addresses disappeared too. I think I have been done in by an update. What setting am I missing? I am using Firefox 114 with Windows 10

About a week ago I started getting these message windows 'Gah. Your tab has crashed.' I have never seen these before now they're everywhere. I have tried all the Troubleshoot procedures and nothing seems to help. I've done all the cleanups and checked the add-ons but there is nothing new and no changes I am aware of.

I have severe difficulties with my Windows computer to open many websites I want to open, even those of banks I normally can easily enter.

Do you have any advice for me how to fix that? I searched in the help function but found the advice to be insufficient. And I also found no way to manually change the setting for the individual pages.

at the very top of firefox browser are 3 rows...the highest row is the list of open tabs.....the middle row is the address bar itself with various icons....the lowest row which is the third row begins with 'import bookmarks' 'getting started' and then various website suggestions.

that 3rd row takes up space and has no useful functionality for me .....i've tried changing the settings but i can't alter it... is there a harmless way to eliminate that third row? thanks

When using Chrome, I can easily save a website article on Google Drive from Pocket by printing as a pdf. However, when I try to perform the same activity when using Firefox, I get the dialogue box below. I really want to make Firefox my default browser but not being able to save from Pocket (or the web) to Google Drive when in Firefox is a deal breaker. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Hello! About two weeks ago I opened up Firefox, and found that certain - well most - websites got switched to a very dark mode that broke the website. Websites like Joann had all the background as black and when searching I could only see what was brought up when I moused over the option. The Chell in the Rain website is completely black when part of the appeal is the artwork. Youtube? Black. Libby? Black. Accuweather? Black. Google Docs... that's actually fine.

I don't mind dark mode, but it's broken how several of these websites work.

Hi! My windows suddenly encountered problems and I had to reinstall it, but after reinstalling win and Firefox and logging into my account, none of my data loaded to the new Firefox. Please help, for me, loosing that much of bookmarks and passwords, is just like a matter of death and life.

After installing Apple Ventura, and trouble with User Accounts, Firefox won't open, giving me the error message about not finding or having a Profile.

I did all of the suggested fixes on the Help pages, renaming files with "OLD" etc., finally deleting the entire Firefox folder in Library/Application Support, and the program still won't launch and gives me the same message about not finding a "profile."

Please advise how I can eradicate every trace of Firefox on the computer and start over; the program should create a new profile and let me use the program, but it's refusing to do so.

if i have the "clear cache" addon: and i have 2 browser instances open, when i clear the cache, does it clear both instances or just the one whose button i clicked ?

The websocket is working all the browser except only firefox. It gives error:
Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at wss://cstechnologyindia.com/websocket1.
I am trying to solve it from past 2 days.
I'm using a shared hosting. The hosting provider is saying that everything is perfect from our side. Now I'm hopeless. Please solve my problem anyone.  Please check added image.

After the latest update, "synced tabs" suddenly appeared in my history menu above Recently Closed Tabs. I don't use syncing of any sort so this is just a nuisance. How can I get rid of it?

In the last few days, I have noticed that a number of websites are throwing me SSL_ERROR_NO_CYPHER_OVERLAP errors. Most websites, particularly more modern websites, seem to not have this issue. As some more professional examples, www.twitch.tv and www.dndbeyond.com throw this error. I have tried setting temporarily TLS version fallback limit and min to 0, with no change. I'm not really sure how to go about debugging what cyphers these websites do support and why they are throwing these errors. Any help on where to start would be greatly apprecaited.
