Why do you disallow the imikimi.com plug in? I have used imikimi for years with no problems until recently. I have downloaded the plug in several times but you don't run it. They say it is you causing the problem. Tell me how to fix it or Google here I come.

Are you getting an error message from Firefox, or is the plugin listed as Disabled on the Add-ons page? You can check that here:

orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > Plugins category

If it's missing from the list:

Are you downloading from this page: http://imikimi.com/main/download_plugin

Firefox should offer to save the file to disk. Then you can run it from there. To quickly find the file after it's downloaded, use the green arrow on the toolbar. Or if that's not there, press Ctrl+j to show your Downloads list.

Can you get it to install?

If the installer works correctly but Firefox seems to be ignoring the new software:

It could be caused by Firefox's registry scan feature being turned off. You could check here:

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.

(2) In the filter box, type or paste scan and pause while the list is filtered

(3) If plugin.scan.plid.all is not set to its default value of true, double-click it to toggle it back to the default.

Then:

  • If you changed this setting, exit and restart Firefox to trigger another scan.

Can you get Firefox to recognize the plugin?

You might also want to try updating firefox to version 23.
