I cant open links by dragging the link to the new tab button anymore

Before i could drag a link and drop it on the "New Tab" button and it would open the link but it doesnt work no matter how hard i try to do it now... can anyone tell me why?

Does the issue happen in safe mode?

I dont know but when reboot my laptop it started working normally and I can drag links again
