Lost bookmarks after upgrading from v 3.5 to 3.6.12

I have just upgraded from v 3.5 to 3.6.12. After that, I created a second profile. Now, I cannot see any of my old bookmarks in any of these profiles. Is there a chance I could recover them ? I followed the procedure to recover from history, as presented in the "Help" file, but there is no history of bookmarks anymore.

Never mind, just found the "bookmarkbackups" directory under the default profile 

(%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\nqdkgq19.default\bookmarkbackups)
