FF not loading

When I open FF (from icon or menu bar), a small window appears and disappears in a flash, then nothing - cannot open another FF window, and Task Manager does not list FF as running, but does need to end some unknown process when shutting down. AVG scan shows nothing.Have uninstalled and re-installed FF3.6.9 with no results.

FF 3.6.9 Same problem with me. Starting in a slow network (profile on server), cannot see the "small window" but task manager shows firefox.exe for about 2-3s, firefox.exe disapears. System details: XP, add-on: FireFTP 1.0.9, when disabled, FF starts o.k. (start FF in safe-mode and disable FireFTP)

Thanks for the response, however, I do not FireFTP 1.0.9 in either my add-ons or extensions menu. Argh!

Well, I just disabled all plug-ins (in safe mode) and FF works fine now. Not sure if this is going to bone me in the future, but at least this worked. Thanks for the help everybody!
