when signing in, one option said something about LDAP.
What is LDAP? It is not explained.

The sign–on system is provided by an industry–grade solution provider that doesn't seem to have much of a wiggle room for customization. Apparently the "custom" methods (like Mozilla account) come after the internal and generic ones 🤷
There was feedback to this tune provided on connect.mozilla.org so it's been passed along already. (Yes, it's puzzling.)

If you mean singing into various Mozilla services, then it says "Internal", meaning "employees only" of sorts. Maybe the wording should be changed to something like that.
If the question is what's LDAP in general: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lightweight_Directory_Access_Protocol
Thx.
"Employees only" would be a definite improvement. But, in that case, why was that choice listed FIRST? Searcing tlhis Mozilla database, i got NO HITS for "LADP". yes, googling got the acronym, but that didn't help much.

Puzzling! ha ha. That is true of at least half what Mozilla does. Figuring out new features is usually a herculean task. Thanks @jbr for your great answer.
