Why is there a search term bar in the body of the web page but it jumps to the address bar when a search term is entered. Why would firefox design a place in the body of the web page that does not work. How is this corrected?

Would need at the least a screen shot or link to whatever it is you are seeing - firefox doesn't put things into webpages, it just presents what it is given. That might be a hack if it can access your url remotely, I really don't know.
