In Google Chrome and Brave Chrome, there is a function for moving a tab to a different window. Firefox does not appear to have this function. Is there a way to move a tab to a different window?

How can I move a tab to an open window? I know there is a function in the pull down menu to open the tab in a new window, but I would like to move the tab to a window that is already open. Google and Brave Chrome have a seamless, easy way on the pull down menu. I use it all the time, but I want to keep Firefox as my default browser. Thanks!

We move it using drag&drop. Do you have a mouse?

Yes, I do have a mouse. Tell me more how I can drag and drop. My workaround is to copy the URL, open a new window, and paste the URL . Not too bad. Is your drag and drop method any better?

Just grab a tab with a mouse and put it on a tab bar of another window, when the blue indicator shows up. It works at least on Windows OS.

I'm not familiar with Mac.

Didn’t work for me. Looking at my desktop, if I click a tab and drag it to the window pull down menu, the menu does not open to reveal my other open windows. How do you put the tab on the tab bar of another window? Maybe I can’t do it with a Mac? I Will be installing a windows machine soon but it dual boots with Linux, which I primarily will be using.

I looked into it but haven't yet installed. The "fine print" gave me pause.

"This is an extension asking your permission to tap into Firefox’s inner framework (via APIs) to alter your browser’s behavior. These APIs might ask to read or write data you enter in webpages, read data from or access features on your computer, or alter the settings in your browser."

I am concerned about privacy, its "ability to read and write data about webpages" I understand to install an add-on the settings would need to be altered I might visit. I'm OK with that if it is done as a means of fulfilling the add-ons stated purpose. Is there any way to understand the extent to which I am giving up privacy for this convenience?
