Custom icons for accounts

I'd like to assign an icon (even an emoji would work) to each account, so that I can quickly tell them apart when I'm choosing which inbox to check. is it possible to do so?

Hi,

The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or developers. If you want to leave feedback for developers, you can use this link. Your feedback gets collected by a team of people who read it and gather data about the most common issues.

I use aquamail at the mo (at the same time - (though want to use TB only soonest 😉)and we can do this, well the app seems to gather the sender icons/avatars from somewhere. Its not from my contacts - i believe that TB does reteieve from your contacts on your fine, as these are the only ones that appear.

Be great to have this

I am trying to find a way to save from aquamail to the contacts - as an interim solution

Yes, you can often add an icon or emoji to an account name in your email app's settings. Many email clients support this customization in account labels, helping you quickly identify inboxes.

This is much requested at https://github.com/thunderbird/thunderbird-android/issues/8381. Not yet possible to do, but expected to have development priority.
