When you use Control C (Copy), whatever is marked is copied to the computers Clipboard. This is a temporary storage area. Using Control V (Paste) places the clipboard to where you are working.

When something is copied / downloaded to ClipBoard, it is actually floating in memory and standing by for you to paste it somewhere.

To paste (use) the code, place mouse cursor in the form field that needs the code and then paste it via ctrl+v

Also, you can paste whatever is in the clipboard into a program like notepad or wordpad or an email. Then saved as a file for future reference.

Lastly, if you have/use Win10, then you will have an enhanced version of clip board.

ps: i usually have codes texted or emailed to me, instead of using clipboard.
