Clicking on link results in about:blank

This has been going on for some time on this one iPad I have.

When I click on a link, I get a new tab, but it’s about:blank

In order to get a new tab with the page that I wanted, I have to long-press, select “Open in new tab”

Also, Youtube links used to open in the Youtube app, but now they open to a Youtube page, where Youtube says “We’ll stop supporting this browser soon. For best experience, please update your browser”

Reinstalling Firefox didn’t work.

This has been going on for some time on this one iPad I have. When I click on a link, I get a new tab, but it’s about:blank In order to get a new tab with the page that I wanted, I have to long-press, select “Open in new tab” Also, Youtube links used to open in the Youtube app, but now they open to a Youtube page, where Youtube says “We’ll stop supporting this browser soon. if i recall correctly this is a known bug, although i'm having a hard time finding it in bugzilla.... looking
