Message repeating, downloading single message, one at a time. All other messages stuck behind repeated message

Open the account through webmail and delete the repeating message. Does that make the others download to TB?

It worked perfectly! Brilliant and very simple solution. Thank you so much. I have used TB forever, and did not want to switch to web mail exclusively, or try to salvage all my emails and reinstall TB. Thanks again!!!
