The issue described in the question, started when people I know installed Firefox v 71.0 (64bit) 1) Given - A username and password combo are typically unique to a specific web site 2) username and password are typically user generated 3) Prior to v 71.0, the field autofill function would show ONLY username choices which were previously entered by a user. 4) Now, with updating to v 71.0 and Lockwise, the autofill function is showing multiple and incorrect username choices that were not entered by the user. 5) Where are these additional and incorrect username and password combos coming from? 4) When the autofill choices come up some say "from this website" and some list a domain name URL and some list a domain name URL that is not familiar. Where is Lockwise getting these multiple usernames from, when there should only be one, the one previously entered by the user? 5) What does it mean when Lockwise goes to auto fill a sign on field and provided a username choice that also says "from this website"? How would Lockwise get a user's username and password "from" a website? This sounds inconsistent with standard policy of each username password combo being unique. 6) Given the above, the user also has difficulty distinguishing which of the multiple autofill choices that are displayed to choose from, is the correct one that is the unique un/pw for a specific web site. 7) Why does Lockwise do this, where are the multiple and incorrect un/pw's coming from? 8) I do not like this new feature. How to I revert back to a version prior to v 71.0 and get my previous setting back. 9) Bad move Mozilla. I'm going to call this related changes Firefox LockUnwise

This feature is mentioned in release notes of version 71: Firefox now suggests saved logins from other subdomains of a site.

It's very very useful for me. I'm using ~49 subdomains with the same login/password + policy to change it every month. Now I need 2 instead 49.

To turn it off, enter about:config in the url bar and set signon.includeOtherSubdomainsInLookup = false.
