when will google calendar sync be available with thunderbird 65?

i love 65 because it is SO much faster but i would like to be able to sync my calendar.

the older versions just do not work very well for me. too slow

i tried this

Calendar: A localized version of Provider for Google Calendar not available at addons.thunderbird.net or the Mozilla FTP server. A US-English version can be downloaded here.

but it didn't work.

Don't know if it will make any difference, but there is a 4.7 version for TB 66beta, available here. The one in my first reply is v. 4.6 for TB 65beta.

If the add-on doesn't work, perhaps the CalDav approach is worth trying.
