I am a member of a Yahoo Group of my Naval Academy classmates--usna65@yahoogroups.com. My e-mail address is: meekskw@earthlink.net. When a classmate sends an e-mail on our forum, he sometimes attaches photos. When I try to open the attachments containing the photos, I get a message telling me I must open a Yahoo account. My forum administrator tells me I should not have to do this, since I am a fully certified member of a Yahoo Group. I do not want to open a Yahoo account; however, I do want to be able to view the photos. How do I get my Mozilla email to allow me to open the picture attachments? Is there something on my Mozilla properties that is causing this?

I am guessing that the issue is the group moderator has set the mail archives or photos to group members only.

If you access the mail from a web browser your existing cookies for accessing the web part of the group will be used to access the linked images. In a mail client there are no existing cookies to allow access to the account so the link pop up an sign in error.

The problem turned out to be a Yahoo permission issue related to my Yahoo group. It was not related to cookies.
