If you mean a password for an email account, then the usual procedure is: 1. Go to your email provider's website and change the password for the account 2. Delete the former password that is stored in Thunderbird 3. Connect to the account in Thunderbird and you will get a pop-up that asks you for the new password 4. Enter the new password, making sure that you have ticked the box that asks Thunderbird to remember it for you
