javascript not enabled, and is "locked"

All of the sudden I'm getting messages that JavaScript is not longer enabled. Following some advice on the web, I went into my browser using the "about:config" function and saw that "javascript.enabled" was both "false" but I could not select "Toggle" to change it as it says "locked."

how do I unlock it?

hi winsider, is this happening on a device in a corporate environment that might have been pre-configured with certain preferences?
