no bottom cursor arrow bar
Downloaded Firefox 4 (supposedly) yesterday 5/26 after being repeatedly prompted to do so via a pop up window saying my current version no longer protected my computer. Really regret doing it, because I no longer have the horizontal cursor bar at the bottom of my screen (at the bottom right corner was also where the padlock icon for https sites used to appear--that, too, has disappeared). Can't get maps to load either from real estate sites when viewing properties. Seems like either (a) some add-ons are missing and/or (b) the Firefox 4 file was corrupt. Any ideas as to how to get the bottom scroll/cursor bar to reappear? Thanks!

In Firefox 4 you no longer have the Status bar that showed the padlock in previous Firefox versions.
The padlock only shows that there is a secure connection and doesn't guarantee that you are connected to the right server.
So you might still be connected to the wrong server if you make a typo in the URL and someone has claimed that mistyped URL.
The functionality of the padlock has been replaced by the How do I tell if my connection to a website is secure? on the left end of the location bar.

You can use this extension to get a padlock on the location bar.

Hi--Thanks for responding about the padlock icon. However, there is still no horizontal arrow scrolling bar at the bottom of the screen to allow for scrolling from left to right (there's still one at the right of the screen to scroll up and down). Any way to get this horizontal bottom bar to reappear (is it an add-on)? Thanks.
It is possible that the screen is too high and that the status bar and scroll bar fall off at the bottom.
Open the system menu via Alt+Space and see if you can resize that window.
If that works then close Firefox to save that setting.
