Firefox wants to install a new helper tool but does not accept my apple or computer password. I just got a new Mozilla password and it is rejected

Your data stay untouched, just the app bundle will get a fresh kick to even out any access issues. For most people this was just a one–time event. Hope you have success with this scenario too.
