Write button doesn't work

After the last update to Thunderbird 139.0.2 on a windows 10 computer, the write button doesn't work. When I click it nothing happens. I receive messages and can even reply to messages I just can't write new messages. The error console shows an error: 1750426957343 addons.xpi WARN Checking C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Thunderbird\distribution\extensions for addons UnknownCollectionError: Unknown Collection "thunderbird/moz-essential-domain-fallbacks"

I think I have turned add-ons off and still have the problem.
