How do I retrieve my "user name" (email address) and "password" to access my Firefox account ?

My desktop computer's operating system is being upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 (following a Windows 7 complete system failure) and the technician requires access to my Firefox account to load my bookmarks and other Firefox information onto the new operating system. I have 4 x email addresses and I do not remember which email address I used when I created the Firefox account, nor can I remember my password.

I do have access to all 4 x email accounts via webmail, so I am able to receive a confirmation email with a verification link which is what I may have been sent when I first created the account.

Any assistance in resolving my problem would be greatly appreciated.

Hi

Thank you for your question about the Firefox Sync service.

It appears from your question, that you are using Firefox Sync as a back up service. This is not what Sync is designed to do. The Firefox Sync service takes a copy of the data you wish to include and transfers it to a second device (typically a mobile device such as a tablet or a telephone) running a copy of Firefox. The storage in between all attached devices is both temporary and fragile and is not stable enough to be (and is not designed as) a reliable backup service.

If you have a copy of your Firefox profile for desktop Firefox, you may be able to recover your bookmarks and other data. Please have a read of this article.

If you have a copy of your data on a mobile version of Firefox, please follow these instructions to connect it to Firefox Sync to copy your data.

With regards to the lost password, I recommend you read this article which should help with that.
