In the last month or 2, when I delete an email it does not show in the trash folder. I can wait from 5 minutes to even the next time I reboot my puter to finally see it it trash. Sometimes it sends it to the all mail or important folder instead of trash. And if I delete from there, it still takes tons of time to end up in the trash folder...if it even gets there. This seems to be getting worse by the day. I have clicked repair folder, no change, I have cleared Thunderbird's cache, no change. It's also now taking way too much time to load an email that contains a picture. This happens with at least 3 of these gmails. I'm at a loss here and extremely frustrated and about to change these gmails from imap to pop. win10 and TB is up to date. But it doesn't compact folders as much as it used to either. Any help appreciated

Thunderbird version: 153.0.3 (64-bit), Meadow, release channel, fully up to date.

I can successfully insert my local PNG into a composed HTML email, tick “Attach this image to the message,” and add a hyperlink to the image. The hyperlink works when the email is sent.

The problem occurs when trying to use this permanently as the account signature. HTML signatures I've tried either lose the image, show a broken-image icon, or fail to preserve the clickable image when used automatically.

I have also tested an HTML signature using a local file:///C:/... image reference, which produces a broken-image icon in Thunderbird.

I do not want to host the image remotely. I want the PNG embedded in the HTML/signature and sent with each email.

Can you confirm the correct method specifically for Thunderbird 153.0.3 on Windows, and whether there is a current issue with embedded/Base64 images or clickable image signatures in this version?

I'm getting Spam Emails from about 10 regular Spam Accounts and I wish to Universally Block them by adding Them to my Filtering Lists. I'm using the * Character as a Universal Place Holder for the *@*.com, *@blah.blah.ca or com. The Filter works one Time then stops working for any fresh Spam. In other words, the Filter doesn't Filter any new Spam from these Addresses. Why?

Thunderbird downloads new emails for all my emails except one. Has not downloaded on that one since July 3. Have reset various background settings to match other email accounts. Running on Windows 10. Suggestions?

Using the same settings as my main account: imap.gmail.com SSL/TLS 0Auth2 Tried copying in same local directory as one that is working. No idea what all these do...

Hi David This is the last attempt I did but it failed. Enclosed is the screen shot you have asked for. Keep in mind my WIN 10 has 64 Bit but the last update from Thunderbird was 32 Bit

Thunderbird running 70-80% CPU with status bar showing. Once status bar is removed this drops. Have noticed some bug reports mentioned Linux but I'm on Windows 10 ESU (up to date). Updated TB to 153.0.3esr but no improvement. Tried troubleshoot mode but no improvement. Also noticed that emails aren't getting moved to the deleted folder from inbox. Checked today and none had been moved for 3 days. I deleted some of the older ones from 'Deleted' and then it did update.

all of a sudden, my deleted emails are not going into my Trash file. They are not spam. They are just emails I've already read.

Again, all of a sudden I have a Spam folder which I do not need or want. I want my Trash folder back and I want to be able delete my emails into that folder.

Right now, and this is new, when I delete an email it completely disappears.

All folders for email are working correctly except Business messages. The server shows 23% full, but the messages are not downloading. I have checked all the connections, and the incoming and outgoing servers are accessible. There seems to be one connection which is not set for Business messages, but I cannot find a solution

I utilize a program to scan business cards and need to add these contacts into my contact list in Thunderbird. I know how to add them if the VCF Card is received inside an email as an attachment, but I do not see any instructions on how to add it if it is found locally on my computer or received by text, etc. Thanks in advance, Ken

Hi, After recent Thunderbird update Shift + F5 nor Get new messages for all accounts IMAP doesn't work. I've synchronisation on. When I start Thunderbird it gets messages fine.

For some time now two Thunderbird Icons have displayed in my Windows task bar. One opens the program I have used for years as normal but the other opens a sign-in screen requiring a user name and password. Today only one version appears and that is the sign in screen. After a lot of steps -including a request for Thunderbird to access my Google account I finally got access to the two e-mail accounts I keep on "my" Thunderbird but the display is far harder to read than the earlier one. After I exited the program I found to re-open it I got the same log-on screen??? How can I access the Mozilla program I am familiar with?

I can receive outlook e-mail but I cannot send from Thunderbird. I am asked for a password for the specific Microsoft server. I enter my Microsoft account password but this does not work. Security setting is STARTTLS withNormal Password authentification. My other Thunderbird non-MS e-mails are problem free.

My email provider is Thunderbird for my professional email address and I use Gmail everyday for receiving and sending my professional messages. However, Gmail will no longer support checking emails from third-party accounts through POP from my PC.

The option to 'Check emails from other accounts' will no longer be available in Gmail on computer. The solution that Google proposes is to set up automatic forwarding (web): To get new emails to appear automatically in my main Gmail inbox (like with POP fetching), set up automatic forwarding with your other email provider (Thunderbird). 

Can you help me with the different steps  in both Thunderbird and Gmail settings to make it work? Alternatively, is there another way to still have access to my professional emails through Gmail? Maybe through Gmail app for computer that uses IMAP instead?

For your information: My Thunderbird server settings shows:  Server type: POP Mail Server Server name: pop3.mycompany.com Username: xxx@mycompany.com (my professional email address) Port 995 Thunderbird has been updated and is currently running on version 153.0.3. My computer is running on Windows 10
