Using Aurora 18.0a2 - My Connection Settings seem to be stuck on 'Use system proxy settings'. I go to Tools -> Options -> Advanced, select the Network tab and click Settings. Change the radio button from 'Use system proxy settings' to any other option and click OK. Click the Settings button to reopen the Connection Settings page and it is back to 'Use system proxy settings'.

Running Windows 7 Pro, SP1 logged in to account with administrator privileges.

If you do not keep changes after a restart then see:

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.
