How do I remove numerous usernames that immediately appear in the username field when I try to login on a secure site?

In the username field to login to secure websites, as soon as Firefox detects that I'm typing something that resembles previously typed-in usernames for that site, these will appear in a menu drop. I want to delete one of these usernames that regularly appears. What do I need to do? Thanks!
