Google should be the default search engine in a fresh installed Firefox browser. If you want to make your Firefox the default browser, you can following the following article to do so.

If for some reason, Google is not your default search engine, navigate to the Firefox settings. In the Search box, type Google and select Google from the dropdown menu under "Default Search Engine"
