I have never used this setting. When a addon update is released, I want to see release notes. I want to see what has been improved, fixed,'''if and how the options have been altered''', etc. Several weeks ago this happened, and I found seven items in the "recent updates" section. I just happened to go to the went to the addons manager today, and realized it had been selected again, with another addon in recent updates. Does this have something to do with a browser update automatically making the selection? Even if it is selected, why is there not at least some type of notification that updates are being made? The settings have the option for notifying if a browser update is available? Why not have the same for addons?
