No Template Title

I have created a number of templates under earlier versions of Thunderbird. I attempted to edit an existing template to make needed changes but after saving "as template" the title is three dots (...) and when loaded for use the Subject line is empty. Is this a bug or a feature? If a feature, how do I get template titles back?
