Firefox downloads AND opens every pdf

Until a few days ago, whenever I clicked on download a pdf, Firefox downloaded it, and when I simply clicked on a pdf, Firefox opened it in a new tab. My guess is that in the new update something has been changed, not sure though.

Now whereever I click, it downloads and opens in a new tab each pdf, which is very annoying, since I either have to delete the downloaded one, or close the tab. I have tried all the available settings I've found (see attached image), but I can't get Firefox to work as it used to.

I really need to be able to decide which pdf's to open in a new tab, and which ones to download and save.

I'm using Firefox 78.0.2 on MacOSX Mojave 10.14.6.

Thanx for any help!

Sorry, I made a mistake writing the title. I meant Firefox downloads AND opens every pdf
