Just upgraded to TB v68.3.1. Now I cannot get my Bitdefender extension at all. Obviously I need it to block spam mail. Help!!

Why did you completely remove the ability to use Bitdefender's spam blocking tool? TB no longer even offers this plug-in from the extensions store. Many of us rely on this product. Plus, with the last version that it did work for, I had many spammers blocked. Now it's all gone completely with no ability to restore.

It is Bitdefender's responsibility to update their extensions to work with TB, not the other way round, and this applies to all extension developers. But the issues with BD go beyond spam blocking.

OK, I get that BD might be a problem child. However, BD is just 1 of many extensions that crapped out with v.68.3.1. It just seems to me that TB was rushed to publish for some reason, and the developers of the extensions weren't given adequate time to update. Just my POV.

Thanks for the info.

To use the French, au contraire.

(when you posted) Version 68 was released 4 months ago [1] and was in beta for 2 months prior to that. Beta is the time for vendors to get their stuff updated and tested, so this is plenty sufficient time for competent vendors to act.

If you are still running bitdefender and can produce the crash ...

https://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?/topic/81641-latest-update-breaks-thunderbird/&do=findComment&comment=293676 describes a process to submit information to the vendor, information then need to diagnose the problem.

If you can give them that information it would be very helpful.

Thank you for your response. It isn't that Bitdefender crashes, I can't get the add-on at all. So now I'm left with no spam killer.

Where can I find a previous version of TBird so I can downgrade to an earlier version?
