Macbook Touchbar freezes

When watching videos on Youtube or Vimeo in Firefox 65, the touchbar on my 2016 Macbook Pro freezes whenever I try to adjust the volume. Sometimes, it will unfreeze and make the volume set to maximum. This is obviously really annoying. I am running the latest versions of FF and Mac OS (10.14.2), but it's been doing this since I first switched to Firefox a few months ago. If I switch to literally any other application (usually finder, by habit), the touchbar unfreezes and I'm able to control the volume again. I have no other issues with any other app's interation with the touch bar. I have no other issues with my computer in general.

How do I fix this? Please help!
