Firefox deletes saved images from Samsung J36 Gallery after "Quit"ing Firefox. How do you prevent this?

When I save an image in Firefox it stores it in my Samsung J36's Gallery.

I can select the gallery and view it there.

However, once I "Quit" Firefox, the image(s) is/are deleted.

What causes this, and how/can I prevent losing the images?

Firefox Version 54.0.1 Android Version 6.0.1 Phone = Samsung-SM-J320A

Turn off the clear downloads on quit setting.
