I just installed Thunderbird but there is no address book. How can I load it from Firefox mail?
I have been using Firefox mail for many years. When I installed Thunderbird , after being prompted, I found that my address book did not come over. Is there a way to load Thunderbird address book from my old Firefox version?

I don't know what you mean by "Firefox mail". I suspect you are describing the use of a web browser to visit a site where you can view and send email. Pretty much all email providers offer a site for this purpose.
Go to your existing address book and look for an option to export it to a comma separated values ("CSV") file. This file can be imported into Thunderbird's Address Book.

Both of the above questions have not been answered. Both requests asked about a MISSING ADDRESS BOOK not just missing contacts. I too just downloaded the latest Thunderbird for and in another computer using WinXP and there are many parts missing from Thunderbird. No tools at all including the address book. There are the email users down the left side of the program but absolutely NOTHING along the top. I have deleted and reinstalled 3 times and also made a second clean install. Remember please, it was a clean install at the start and since there was an update which didnt change anything. So, for now, I can recieve emails but cannot send as I cannot find my contacts. Who has the magic wand please?

Your problem has nothing to do with this one. Sounds like you are missing toolbars. Press the alt key, select View-Toolbars and turn them back on.
If this does not solve your problem, start your own thread with details of your issue.
Many thanks for your prompt and easily workable reply - MUCH APPRECIATED!! Everything looks much better now. As far as the other is concerned, Thank you for your reply here also. I re-read the lot and I will attempt to be more careful with my reading in future.
