Mac 10.11.2 Firefox unresponsive and extremely slow

Since my last update the browser became impossible to use. I checked other threads, re-installed and have implemented a few fixes with absolutely no results. It's dead!

Try to start Firefox in Safe Mode by holding down the Shift (Mac: Options) key to see if that helps.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problem.

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.

Absolutely no effect, even on 'safe mode' (I presume it was on safe mode since I opened holding the shift key) I can't even access the menu. Dead. btw both Safari and Chrome are working as usual.

a few weeks passed since I the problems started, I've tried many fixes without success. I also talked to colleges that used Firefox on similar laptops and they also had problems. Today I deleted and installed the browser again with the same results. I'm done with it. The end.
