Syncing Tag settings with Outlook desktop client
Our organization just moved to Office365 for email.....I want to use Thunderbird as my desktop client to read my email, which I did successfully with our prior system. I have followed my employer's instructions to use IMAP to sync T'bird with this new O365 system.
My problem - I make regular use of the colored tags in T'bird to highlight and organize the emails in my inbox. With our old email system (zimbra), I could mark a message as red/Important when using the Thunderbird client on my desk at work and when I logged into the client installed on my computer at home, the tags/colors would show up properly there, and vice-versa.
Now wth Office365, the colors are not "sticking" when I move between difference instances of Thunderbird - e.g. for example, I color-coded my inbox using the Thunderbird client on my installed on my computer at home. When I got to work and opened Thunderbird here, no tags were applied - just a black list of emails.
Is there a setting that I'm missing? I'd appreciate any help or suggestions as this is a crucial productivity tool for me.
Thanks, Kris

Does office 3whatever support tags. My guess is it does not. It will have some Microsoft proprietary thing instead. Similar and looks the same and works only if you use a Microsoft mail client.
I found in the past that using maildav to provide an interface to OWA instead of Exchange IMAP cured a lot of minor irritants
Thanks Matt. Turns out the O365 has "categories" so doesn't play with the tags in Ffox. Kris
