How can I change the appearance of tabs?

I just got the firefox update on my PC (windows 7) and the tabs are hard to see and navigate between which makes my job (research) extremely frustrating. Can I change the appearance of the tabs to stand out more or go back to the older version of firefox?

  1. Install Stylish and restart Firefox when prompted.
  2. On the following page, click the Install button.
