I can not attach files. The button, the menus or CTRL+Shift+A are doing nothing now.

Chosen Solution

This is bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2077590 which will be fixed in Thunderbird 159. Use the temporary solution described in comment #2 of the bug report or simply drag & drop files inyour compose window.
