email sent to a particular hotmail account is being bounced back to me
I was sending email to a friend with a hotmail address but since yesterday messages I send is being returned with the following error message: Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:
I have removed the email address
Technical details of permanent failure: Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error. The error that the other server returned was: 550 550 Requested action not taken: mailbox unavailable (state 13). I was told it might be due to service disruptions on hotmail and was told to keep an eye on hotmail service with the downrightnow site, when the status was steady I tried again to send the message but it continues to be sent back

Hi Jay62,
It seems the issue is with your friend's hotmail address, something happened there and the message is bounced back. It is not a problem with your browser. You might want to contact your friend by other means and tell him to have his email address checked.
Hope that helps

Thanks madasan
Knowing the problem is not at my end is definitely reassuring. Unfortunately she is a recent friend and we did not get round to exchanging other means of contact. So looks like I will have to wait until she gets in touch
