since upgrading to FF 10 in windows 7, the taskbar now shows multiple icons, so when f fox opens it occupies a different position in the taskbar but the original icon still remains. can you help remove this annoying problem. thank you

Very simple:

Close FF. Right click on the FF icon, un-pin it. Then start FF from the installer folder (most probably something like c:\program files\firefox\firefox.exe), drag the icon to the desired position on the win7 task/superbar and re-pin it. That's it.
