We're sorry to hear that Firefox is crashing. In order to assist you better, please follow the steps below to provide us crash IDs to help us learn more about your crash.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

  1. Enter about:crashes in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A list of Submitted (and Unsubmitted, if any) Crash Reports will appear, similar to the one shown below.
  2. Copy the 5 most recent Submitted Report IDs that start with bp- and then go back to your forum question and paste those IDs into the "Post a Reply" box.

Note: If a recent Report ID does not start with bp- click on it to submit the report.

(Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the IDs. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like.)

I'm trying to assist you with the diagnosis & appreciate your response. When I open a new Firefox window & type the words "about:crashes" this message appears in the window:

No crash reports have been submitted.

How shall we proceed from here?

Thank you!

Firefox slows down in gmail until a warning message appears to close Firefox. Then the gmail freezes and I have to close gmail and restart. I can read/address mails for 5 to 15 minutes before this happens. Cannot do sustained mail work because of this.

Seems to happen now with version 142.0.1 64 bit very frequently. The crash report does not list the crashes in July and August of 2025.

Would reverting to an older version of Firefox help in the meantime?

Hi Stickum333 here. I went into Firefox troubleshooting mode and cleared cache and so on. Then I started Firefox again. Since 2 days now, there has been no slow down or pop up to Stop Firefox and no freezing. Maybe this is the answer for people with same/similar problem. Hope this helps.
