I am not able to send in Gmail using Firefox browser on my PC.
I have two Gmail email accounts. One for work and a person Gmail email. I am not able to send an email in Gmail when I am in Firefox browser. I must go into Google Chrome to send an email from my Gmail email.

Not true, I also have gmail and can access and send email through FF58.0.2 without problems. But you can't open two gmail accounts in the same Browser it will default to the open Gmail account only - that is for security purpose and you can't bypass that. So I think you got some A/V or Addon causing email problems that isn't related to FF. And when you go to make a email does a small pop for email reply come up? If this doesn't show up then something is blocking it.

I do not have Gmail open in two browsers at the same time. I am not able to reply to emails or send emails in Gmail using Foxfire! This is TRUE for me I know what I am doing and this problem has been getting worst over the past few month. Now I can only use Google Chrome to send emails out from Gmail.
I mean Fireox, not Foxfire!
Does the problem occur when you want to start composing a new/reply message, or after it's composed when you click send? What happens -- is there an error message like "try again later" or just a silent failure?
In case you haven't already, these are typical steps to try when a site is generally known to work in Firefox, but stops working normally:
Cache and Cookies: When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Clear Firefox's Cache

If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes. If you do not see the number going down on the page, you can reload it using Ctrl+r to check progress.
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site, try either:
- right-click (on Mac Ctrl+click) a blank area of the page and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
- (menu bar) Tools > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
- click the padlock or "i" icon in the address bar, then the ">" button, then More Information, and finally the "View Cookies" button
In the dialog that opens, the current site should be pre-filled in the search box at the top of the dialog so you can remove that site's cookies individually.
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?
Testing in Firefox's Safe Mode: In Safe Mode, Firefox temporarily deactivates extensions, hardware acceleration, and some other advanced features to help you assess whether these are causing the problem.
If Firefox is not running: Hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox. (On Mac, hold down the option/alt key instead of the Shift key.)
If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:
- "3-bar" menu button > "?" Help button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
- (menu bar) Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
and OK the restart.
Both scenarios: A small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Refresh).

The problem started months ago when I was trying to reply to an email. Many times I was not able to reply to an email so I would start a new email as a reply. Then yesterday it happened even when I started a new email.
Do you have Add Block Plus or other blocker extension installed? That might be preventing the popup windows in which one composes gmail mail. If so, then just click on the red Add Block Plus (or similar) icon and disable on gmail.
Hello, I do appreciate all the advice I am getting here. I did clean out the cashe from Firefox. Here is the problem, it sometimes works find and it sometimes doesn't work. When I am not able to reply to an email I can most of the time forward my reply to that email. Some times it works perfect with no problems and sometimes it doesn't, it is very hit or miss. So it cannot be a setting problem, because if it was a setting problem it would never work right.

I did clean out Firefox cashe the problem is still hit or miss.
There is a bug with Gmail and Firefox browser.

There is a bug with Gmail and Firefox browser.
If it were a bug then we'd have problems using Gmail on Firefox but we have no problem at all.
Please let us know whether safe mode helps. I still suspect an extension such as add block plus. Starting in safe mode will allow you to see whether extensionless 'vanilla' Firefox still has issues.
If your machine lacks memory then that might be a problem. On a Win8 desktop with 4GB of Ram and a lot of windows open, I had problems with Gmail due to lack of memory. To test this, Press control Alt Delete, start the Task Manager, and look Memory usage in the "Performance" tab. (I am surprised to see that I am already using half of my 8GB.)

You can remove all data stored in Firefox from a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History -> Show All History" or "View -> Sidebar -> History").
Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox from that domain like bookmarks and history and cookies and passwords and cache and exceptions, so be cautious. If you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make sure to backup this data or make a note.
You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of involved files.
If you revisit a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.
You can create a new profile to test if your current profile is causing the problem.

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.
Hi All, I think I may have solved the problem. It might be a problem with my internet connection speed. I noticed just now If I go very slow and wait for the email to 'auto save' as I am typing my email, I was able to send a reply. It took me much longer to send it because it was like I had to wait for it to be ready for me to continue to type. When I saw the message "saving" in the bottom right hand corner I would stop typing and allow it to save, when it showed "saved" in the corner I would continue to type. So I have a work-around. Maybe I just need faster internet, but where I live it is not available yet. Thank you all for trying to help me with this problem.
